Mission Statement
The mission of the OBM system is to provide supplemental information to masters’ level students about OBM that were unable to take the course available for whatever reason. The timely use of the information provided by the system will improve the quality, timeliness, and usefulness of the OBM projects being created by the students.
Ultimate Goal
 The goal of this system is to improve the quality of work that is being produced by masters’ students for their OBM projects. In the past, the overall quality, timeliness, and significance of their work were at an unacceptable level. The reasons varied, but the idea found to be the most likely root was the lack of knowledge about OBM, thus this system’s second goal is to provide that information. This system finally is designed to enhance the goal that BATS has of producing quality students but giving them tools to produce quality work.
What OBM is doing
OBM is currently finishing the design of the system and has started to provide performance management to the second year grad students completing an OBM projects. We are currently developing more thorough curriculum for the current first years. We hope to have this fully developed by the time the current first years start their OBM projects in May of 2009.
