In conjunction with Psychology 3600, students participate in an operant conditioning rat lab for 2 hours per week. In this rat lab students directly modify the behavior of another organism, Rudolph, the rat. There are six set experiments and one experiment that the student designs. A lever press and a chain pull are two responses that students teach Rudolph to perform. Through this practicum, students see the influence and validity of the basic principles of behavior analysis.
